The Business Centre is strategically located in the Port of Ravenna, just a few kilometres away from the industrial area, the historical city centre and the beach.
The Centre is arranged in a courtyard shape and occupies a useful surface area of 12,500 m2. It has 5 office buildings, including the headquarters of Sapir and of the Customs Agency, a company canteen, a garden inside the courtyard and all necessary services, including car parks and archives in the basement.
During its design, particular attention was paid to the use of the most energy-saving technologies (energy production through a high-efficiency cogeneration plant combined with district heating) and in the choice of materials for façade and grazing systems, in order to ensure the best values of thermal-acoustic insulation and internal comfort.
A solar system with a power of about 20 kW for self-consumption, producing 24,000 kWh/y from renewable sources, covers over 39% of the facility's electricity needs. Also, the lighting systems in the yards and canopies were requalified with the installation of new LED fixtures with their own remote control system.
